Un día sin la mujer trabajadora.
October 5 to 11, 2026 · Latina Equal Pay Day is Thursday, October 8
Sobre la campaña
It marks how far into the year a Latina has to keep working to catch up to what a white, non-Hispanic man was paid the year before. In 2026, that day is October 8: more than nine extra months of work.
Employers and federal agencies are rolling back programs that helped women get ahead at work, like mentorship, paid parental leave and contracts for women-owned businesses. Latinas, already the lowest-paid group in the U.S. workforce, stand to lose the most.
A Day Without a Working Woman asks the country to imagine one day without the women, and especially the Latinas, who keep it running: in classrooms, hospitals, fields, hotels and at home. It is an awareness campaign, not a strike. Nobody is asked to stop working.

Imagine a day without Latinas. No teachers in the classroom. No nurses on the floor. No caregivers, no drivers, no harvest. We are 1 in 5 women in this country, and America runs on our work. This week, leading up to Latina Equal Pay Day on October 8, we are making that work visible. What would a day without you look like? @aquimovement #ADayWithoutAWorkingWoman #WorkingWoman

@aquimovement #ADayWithoutAWorkingWoman #WorkingWoman

53 cents. That is what Latinas are paid, on average, for every dollar paid to white, non-Hispanic men. Over a career, that adds up to more than $1 million. Now the programs that opened doors for women at work, from mentorship to paid leave, are being cut. Equal pay is not a favor. It is what our work is worth. @aquimovement #ADayWithoutAWorkingWoman #WorkingWoman

53 centavos. @aquimovement #ADayWithoutAWorkingWoman #WorkingWoman

On October 8, Latina Equal Pay Day, ask yourself what your workplace would look like without the women in it. Latinas are 1 in 5 women in the U.S. and launch more new businesses than any other group, yet are paid 53 cents for every dollar paid to white, non-Hispanic men. Companies that cut mentorship, leadership programs and paid leave for women are not neutral. They are choosing to lose talent. Keep your commitments to women. @aquimovement #ADayWithoutAWorkingWoman #WorkingWoman

@aquimovement #ADayWithoutAWorkingWoman #WorkingWoman
